It would be interesting to see that bar compares to my Rigid D2 pods.

Yeah commercials are nuts.

Doug a buddy of mine thought it was boring too. While I did expect more action I still liked it.

Nuts-N-Bolts / Re: Wheel Bearings

Did you happen to spin the wheel while it was up to see if you could replicate the grinding noise?

Hubs are weird, they usually just whine as they go bad. By the time they get to "god awful" level in my experience that means they've got about a mile left before the wheel falls off.  :rotflmao:

Might as well change them anyways if you've got the parts, keep the old ones to make loaded spare shafts (nice not to have to mess with that 175 ft lb axle nut on the trail) but I wouldn't be shocked if the vibration and noise is still there and is coming from the driveshaft, U-joints, somewhere else.
I did spin the tires to see if I could pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. Unfortunately I could not reproduce the noise. I just contributed it to not having a load on the wheels.
I do agree with you on getting rid of the vibration. I do not think this has anything to do with the wheel bearings (I am Hoping). I did have the front driveshaft rebuilt do to it being bent. I honestly think its either in the gear set up, or its something with the transfer case. The vibration is more harmonic you really don't feel it, but its visual in my rear view mirror and it sounds like I have a stereo system with a constant bass note being played.

At Jericho, me and 2 motivated guys from Maine 4x4 swapped my driver axle shaft in like 15 minutes. It would have been faster if I had the bearing on the spare shaft.

One night at Mayhem, we can go over to that dirt lot and do a side by side comparison.

I have a 12" knock off on the jeep and a 20" knock off on the truck.
Can't run either of them when on payment.   Too bright for their own good.
(I do run the one on the truck around the backwood road where I live.   Makes it easier to spot the deer.)

Rey we can do a comparison on the next night run.

Id love to see how the competition LED I have now compares as well. I was skeptical at first but it really provides better color and distance vs the knock offs.

Bad apple and competition are one in the same?

The Google machine says east Brookfield Ma

No. Competition LED is owned by Mark Shea in MA.
