Got Jeep?

« on: February 08, 2010, 11:59:15 AM »

Im looking at another ZJ for my collection but it has an overdrive problem.
I have not driven it but the symptoms are it pops out of overdrive while on the highway, and you have to slow down before it would let it engage again but then it pops back out.  I don't think it pops out every time, just sometimes.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything off the top of their head, i haven't done much research about it yet.
       Thanks.

Tranny work is not cheap.  Unless it's a computer problem or your good with rebuilding trannys.

Sounds like some kind of sensor or vacuum leak problem.
