hey everybody. just getting into the wheeling scene after years of my love for musclecars kinda wore off. ive noticed while lurking around this site that everyone seems to be pretty down to earth non discriminating kind or people (unlike the pompous anally retentive car types im used to).  anyway. just looking for some cool people to do some respectable wheeling with.

now the toys.
88 YJ 4" procomp lift running stupid tires on stock axles and no SYE (trouble waiting to happen). the engine is a bored and stroked 258, ive also got Poison Spyder sliders and full corner guards smittybuilt grill guard bumper and winch. i have a laundry list of stuff i want to do.

85 CJ 4" procomp lift 2" shackles, orig V8. with a YJ tub this one was someone else's project that i ended up with waiting for the garage to get freed up.

70 FJ40 rock crawler sprung over front pushed out 6", 4 link rear pushed out 12" Chevy 383 running on Got propane.com conversion

79 FJ40 in the garage now im building before i can get the CJ in

later,
Jim

go to www.photobucket.com and create an account

Upload your images there

copy and paste the line, under the image, that looks like this (brackets should be at the ends):

IMG]http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz204/rasco2002/Past%20Wrenchfest/PastWrenchfest0006.jpg[/IMG

and you get this

first off i love that garage in the earlier pics i could use something like that, could someone please convince my wife?

anyway photo bucket account created, heres the first pics.

some people may have seen this rig before, i am the happy new owner. i got it from a guy near Boston.

heres the one im working on now my family dubbed it the Somali gun truck after the top came off

you wouldnt know by looking at the pics but the rust isnt to bad overall the quarters are shot because the last owner had the dimond plate thing going. but the frame and evrything else is solid. i bent new floors and wheel wells but have been dragging my feet to put them in.

once thats done i can roll this in to take over what someone else abandoned

That place IS a blessing. It's one of our members business, and it's one of two places we wrench.

"Wrenchfests" are one of the benefits of being a member. We all get together and work on each others rigs. No project too big or too small. Time is usually the only project limiter. It's a priceless learning experience every time. You eventually get to know what makes up everyone else's rig as well as your own. For example, that's my XJ in the center getting new ball joints and axle u-joints. Six months before that we did a clutch in it at the other place. On my right in the picture is Pete's (that's his and his fathers shop) jeep getting some skid mounting repairs. Behind, and in front of me is ANOTHER ball joint job on a JK (it's that Hummer looking thing icon_mrgreen). That's Rey's rig on the far left of the picture AND there was a few more jeeps in there as well not in the picture.
