Thank You.
I have the same "glow" going on with my dome light that I've replaced with a LED.
It never really shuts off. Even with the switch off, it faintly glows.
They take so little juice to work, I guessed it was just "leaking" electrons through a system designed for incandescent bulbs, that would otherwise not function with the switch "off"

LED hates low power. That might blow them.
Dose it have an illuminated switch, or a remote control switch?
The older X10 system switches made the LEDs glow

Nice! I replaced my exterior drivers door handle. PITA with tight space of getting those zig zagged retaining clips back in, but it works perfect now!
I have new ones to do as well - but I can't fit my hand in there.  I was thinking about cutting an access hole

Ok maybe we should all get together to do door handles....my driver side if rough as well

It took a little while to figure out how to take it all apart without braking stuff. I bought new clips to replace the broken ones when I pulled the trim off after removing all the screws.

PITA getting it out, putting the new handle is took me 10 mins and a quick rebuttoning up the interior door. I could probably do both sides quickly and Easily now. Buy the handle (doorman) from 4WD  or Quadratec. The one I got from partsgeeks was a POS and incomplete. I’m sending it back.

Thanks Johny - I have new factory units from last year - they can wait until next spring - spraying the 1999 originals down with Kroil made it through the winter last year...  Still have bikini top and soft doors on - hopefully I'll have the full doors and hard top on before Christmas

Started to feel like myself again so I got ambitious and pulled the front apart.  New springs are here.  Old ones are 4in lift springs, new ones are BDS 2in springs.

Wait - X10 are you talking about X10 wireless automation controllers! ?  I've been using some since the 1900's and still use them for controlling lighting on my out buildings...  Didn't know you could use them in a vehicle electronics

I use X10 for Christmas lights. I have a module on every set in an out of the house including the tree. The biggie is all the candles in the windows. I can turn them all off at once.

As uncommon as they are, I feel like I see them all the time. Probably because my neighbor has 3 of them though. And Ian’s roommate has one too. Had a Jeep in the garage for some work  just this week that was running one.

Absolutely. And I also really want to build an all steel cowl hood, although I'm not sure how soon that project will be happening.

I put the coolant from my Jeep when I change the radiator into the Deuce and then started checking out the lack of defrost in the truck. Turns out there’s a number of missing parts I’ll have to get to have heat anytime soon

Do you have the hill assistance turned on? That screwed with me quite a bit at first.

No I turned that shit off, that is for people who can’t drive stick, my dad’s Camaro had it and it was actually holding you back at lights on hills so turned it off on that too.

Ohh no I thought it only needed one part, what does it actually need to be functioning again?

These are the headlights: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MS92UWI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They're made in China knock-offs of the $350 TruckLite headlights: https://www.amazon.com/Truck-Lite-27450C-Headlamp/dp/B007ED7HNY/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1513109183&sr=1-3&keywords=trucklite+jeep

There are several different "companies" selling them on Amazon and their prices and shipping vary slightly but the lights appear to be the same thing.

The headlights are awesome from the drivers seat. Super bright, white almost bluish (but not blue) light, like a 5000k LED. The spread is perfect with no funky patterns. I was worried they might be too bright but I've driven several times at night and nobody is flashing me yet.

There IS some funkiness that I may either live with or try wiring in a harness separate from the factory wiring...the passenger light (only) glows dimly when the ignition is on and the lights are off (some of the reviewers claim it is a DRL "feature" - if it was both I wouldn't mind so much but it looks weird with just one so I call BS on that). Also when the turn signal is on the opposite side headlight pulses in time with the flasher.
Keep an eye on the lights. I bought a pair of the knock offs and they are great but after about two months when I go to hit my brights they don’t work. Emailed the company and they told me I was past the “trial” period and wanted me to pay another 50$ to have them send me another set.  Just a heads up.
