I charged the battery.... Plan was to back it out of the garage tonight... Maybe tomorrow.

Hope to get it back on the road soon, it needs little, I just have less that little time lately.

It's been a busy week with the XJ...  learned first hand how hot they run in 90 degree weather so we changed the thermostat and flushed the system. After topping her off drove her around for an hour at no more then 190 degrees!!!    then we moved on and bought 4 new sony speakers from Walmart ($90) . ..the installation was going smoothly until we noticed that the drivers door was not working and a whole bunch of torn wires.. I guess that's why the back windows and door locks did not work! So after 2 hours of matching wires and soldering everything works perfect! Last of all Lisa ordered an Aussie Locker with the help of Ian for the rearend.... busy, busy, busy!  :rotflmao:

Front 4" lift almost done.  Just running into steering issues but hopefully they will be solved with the 1 ton steering system I just ordered.   Also need to adjust every angle imaginable on that axle

Cavfab high clearance setup.  They use heim joints and I've gotten mixed opinions on that but I'm going to give it a try.

Currently things don't clear but I don't think this is a steering issue but rather a very messed up axle location issue due to adjustable control arms not adjusted appropriately. But the steering needs upgrading anyway because the joints are all maxed out and the stock steering is far too flexible...

Shouldn't that be facing the other way?

Actually a really good point, if you drilled it out and used a tapered insert you could mount it on the other side and get rid of the clearance issue. Still would be faced with the weak tie rod issue though and it would see be Y link steering.
