I would have suggested these instead of the home depot solution.

http://www.rustrepairpatch.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html

So I just ordered the 2 middle and 2 rear sleeves from them.   Packaged together its $199
They should be here by Wed.

Something to consider; go to Moab, wheel, have fun, buy a house, stay there rust free....

Web site says $79 a piece? Your still going to have to loosen all the other body mounts to jack the body up.  Out of 11 mounts only 3 could be loosened. The driver mount by the shock, I just cut off and said screw it.

For $300 you can buy the full torque boxes. https://raybuck.com/product/1997-06-jeep-tj-wrangler-full-length-torque-boxfloor-support-drivers-side/?gclid=COnWq4eQm9MCFQaHswodlnQCIA

It's not worth it, I'm just beating on it in the woods. These TJ's are a PITA. If I was building a show Jeep, like Tom, that would be different.

I have to loose all the mounts regardless.
And to replace them, you have to take the body off to get to the inside spot welds

I look forward to seeing what you have to say about them. The middle mounts in my tj are toast. I'm thinking of using those for the repair.

Rob, would mind making a sketch with basic measurements of the repair pieces once you get them? I think I'll see if i can make up my own with my brake

LOL

the tough part is the dimple, you need the dimple for the body mount puck to fit in

The dimple also adds strength tot he sheet metal

There is no dimple on the patch. They say (in the video Rob posted) the dimple is what holds moisture and causes the area to rust out.

They make them both flat and dimpled.

They recommend the flat if you are going to install a rocker guard or step

Use a pin on one side for line up. Same size as the bolt
