TJ Body Mounts.
« Reply #50 on: April 23, 2017, 08:00:02 PM »
So I got the passenger side done today.  Drivers side is next
And then get them welded up at the WF

They were not as bad as I though they were going to be.

All bolts can out with no issues, because I Anti-Seized them when I did the body lift

Side note.  Wear gloves when using POR15

That's awesome!  I need to look into those for my rears...  Anti Seize is the best!  I had a similar experience today taking my skids off my TJ - the previous owner used anti seize and the bolts came out like butter

I fabbed up some if these patches last week. thanks to Rob for sketches and Tom for the use of his brake.

They're not as nice as ones Rob got but will do the trick and only cost $25.

SOB!!  They look almost identical to what I paid $$$ for.
I should charge you a drafting fee.

Per Tom's advice,  I drilled (4) 1/2"+ holes along both side of the sleeve, for rosette welds.
Along with welding the edges,  which we had to cut and shape the to Torque Box.

I'm pissed at myself.

A.) for paying too much.
B.) for not charging Doug for the sketches.

My body mounts have been pushing up through the floor for awhile now. I guess this repair is coming my way soon. Never had any spinning bolts when I put in the body lift last year though.
