Chevy tie rod end
« on: March 13, 2017, 08:04:31 AM »
While at gremlin I bent one of my new one ton tre's. ruff stuff warranted it but will no longer be carrying this style. So if I bend it again I am on my own. It is supposedly a stock gm tie rod end. Does any one know what model years this might have been on so that I can find it locally?

I think the red shielding will probably solve the bending problem.

Why not, just going to bend it before it wears out! :mad02:

Once they bend, just re-adjust the alignment and wheel.
You can get a Hummer in a Jeep, but you can't get a Jeep in a Hummer!

They are really only 3/4 ton.

I found the only difference between the 3/4 and 1-ton Chevy's (at least in the 88-98 era) are the A-Tray's on the 1-ton are forged where the 3/4's are stamped.

I'll have some trail spares for anyone that wants them after I redo the steering on Yoda...

I only have one traditional tie rod left. Of course Synergy doesn't make that one so I went with Moog. I'm sure NAPA could cross reference those specs.
