Jumpy Idle
« on: March 28, 2017, 10:50:51 AM »
I just recently bought a 2011 liberty I put in new copper NGK plugs gapped to 0.043. Even before I did this it was a little jumpy, I added Lucas fuel cleaner and lube to the tank as well as directed. Has anyone had any problems with the fuel cleaners? Any ideas?

If you clean out/replace the TPS also clean out the IAC on the throttle body. They get all gummed up with carbon.

I was going to say Dirty Throttle body.  Used to happen on my grand Cherokee all the time with a K&N filter.  I actually went back to a paper element and the problem went away.

It could be winter air in tires.  It needs to be changed for summer.
