Useful App
« on: May 16, 2017, 08:34:14 AM »
I've been using an app to track maintenance and repairs on my vehicles.

It's called acar. It's for android, but I'm not sure if its on iphone.

http://www.zonewalker.com/acar

I don't track fuel, because it's futile on both the truck and the Jeep. LOL

You can get fancy and with charts and statistics. I just use it to know when maintenance was done and when parts were bought and from where. Below is a screenshot of the recent records for my Jeep.

I use Gas Cubby Free for the same thing. It keeps track of fuel consumption as well as regular maintenance. I've tracked the last 31k miles on my Jeep over the last two years and the last 4k miles on my Jetta over the last month and a half since I got it. It has all my repairs, tire rotations, oil changes, etc as well as fuel fill ups. I haven't tried the app mentioned above but I will say that having an app to keep track of things like this is pretty helpful.

I use this mostly for fuel economy, so it's nice to not have to figure out my average fuel consumption over an extended period of time.
