I stopped by a couple times this weekend and Tom explained the math, figuring, and gozintas that are involved.
Pretty simple once you get all the numbers dialed in, but you can really fawk it up if you change one thing just a little bit.

Due to traveling the last few weeks, progress has been slow !

Finally unpacked my tools and began working on the jeep last night. about a week ago the motor was dropped off along with a ton of other parts. For the most part it was purely supported by the engine hoist. Last night Becca went to bed early, so i began working on the rear link cross-member. the cross-member will be removable, to make transfer case removal possible.

The plan for this weekend is,

- fully mount cross-member
- mount lower links
- Mount rear ori hoops
-Start trans cross-member

Going to have a separate cross member to hold the transmission mount and run a flat skid between them? And I assume you checked, but those front lower links don't hit the body mount at full bump, right? Looks like this thing is coming together really nicely. Well done.

Alright, it has been a while since an update. progress has slowed a bit due to parts and other events.

from the top down, the frame will drilled and sleeved for the cross member bolts. the bolts used are 1/2 inch.

With the cross member in place the final ori tower braces were tacked into place and then fully welded.

The trans crossmember was bent up and attached to the frame using tabs and builder bushings. the bushings are mounted in line with the frame so they flex at the same rate as the motor mounts.

Moving forward I tackled the front hoops, which seemed to get in the way  of everything. the solution was a thinner hoop than the rear, the hoop is angled toward the rear at a 15 degree angle

The hoops were notched and then welded into place, a matching set of lower bungs were created to match the rear. Maintaining style points is key.

next up was the exhaust, after 3 revisions we finally have a winner, what a pain in the arse. the frames are far too narrow for easy packaging of a V8

Unfortunately it does not, henry purchased one of those kits with a million bends. it was all just cut and make fit, and make sure you cut on the right side with the flare
