It looks to me like it's been gone through once. You can see two layers on paint inside the door jam, looks like the floor pans may have been replaced once, some rust and maybe a repair on the grill. And with the wires hanging under the dash, someone's definitely been in there before. Looks like a project for sure.

Probably one of the lesser desirable CJ-5's because of the smog stuff and drive train.

Tapered windshield, so 76 or newer
Looks like an irion duke 4 popper with a T-176 4 speed(pretty weak tranny)

I'm guessing around an early 80's CJ-5 with that combo.
Mouse chewed defroster vents, so where else have they been?

Clutch pedal rubber looks pretty good so I'm guessing low miles if its original.  Usually the edge is worn off from sliding your foot off the clutch.

Miles and running condition would be huge to determine price.  If it were me, I'd probably go look at at it for a $500 price range.  If it were a CJ-7. it would be worth more for me.
75 CJ-5        Plow Jeep Still for Sale - $800 w/4way plow
77 CJ-5        Red Jeep - 401, T18, Locked F&R
77 CJ-7        Sons Jeep - Built from Race Jeep remnants
79 CJ-7        Q-Track - Aging gracefully in the woods(well, not much left)
84 CJ-7        Rock Jeep - BYS  (Big Yellow Shitbox) on one tons
95 Wrangler  Sons commuter Jeep - bone stock 4 popper
97 TJ           Black Jeep on Slinkys
04 Grand Cherokee Overland - Wife's Jeep,  Too nice for me!

I think your all underestimating the Value here. Its complete !  A great platform to start with and with time , a going through , some paint , youd have a great run around oldie but goodie .  Yes the 4 Banger isnt the best , I dont know why anyone would say the T-176 is weak , The 300 is the best . The 30 up front is okay , has locking hubs , The 20 rear can be used with new parts.  If your looking to make a wheeler outta this , maybe not the best choice . Ive wheeled mine for 15 yrs. But it took a lot to make it into what I have. If you have the tools and skill it can be done . As a street-able vehicle , It would be a piece of cake . If it runs Id think it was worth 1/2K to someone.  FjR68
