Oct is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
« on: October 04, 2017, 08:13:48 AM »
This horrible disease affects both women and men, so checking yourself each month is very important for early detection. A shocking 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Self-checks are the first step in early detection followed up by mammograms. Starting at the age of 40 you should start getting annual mammograms, and earlier if you have a family history of breast cancer. Talk to your doctor about when you should get a base-line mammogram done and what else you can do to help aid in your breast health.

My family has been affected by this horrible disease and early detection saved my mom, grandmother and two aunts. Take a few minutes to check your tatas each and every month.

Cancer of all kinds is horrible. Watching it is horrible. Losing to it is horrible. My condolences for those that have lost. My prayers for those fighting. For those of you winning, every day is a blessing. Try to make the best of every day.
