Hmmm, very few haters. JK guys seem assimilated. I am expecting TJ guys to start loving JK's.

I'll skip over everything to this new Jl from the TJ.  Had a JK for a bit, didn't like it.

Imagine the shock factor when an XJ guy has no choice but to like a JL  (or whatever comes after)

I think that cage design is VERY interesting. It seems like it allows all sorts of possibilities, like folding the windshield down, still having some structure. On YJ's and TJ's in stock form (no aftermarket cage), you still had to deal with the bars that the windshield bolted to.

I'm curious what you will have to do to unlatch it to fold it down. The process you have to go through on the JK's is definitely why no one ever bothers.

I can see it as just 4 bolts through those 4 holes in the top of the "cage". also this looks a lot flatter than the JK windshield. Folded down the JK windshield looked very weird because the sides curved up.

It's not a Jeep folding windshield if there is still an A pillar frame left!

I can see the A pillar getting "Bumped" and then leaking like a bitch!  Bad design for wheeling, good design for Mall Crawling.

I honestly think that is the best design for a factory cage yet!

If you fold down the windshield on any prior jeeps the driver and passenger are left very unprotected

If the color stays true to the picture I see a 2dr Rubicon with the diesel engine in my future.

Reminds me of the old Electric Lime Green that I like.

It’ll still dent around it, or just smash the door on the bolt head

That is no different that what I have with my TJ,  with an after market cage in it.

Didn't think of that!  Which bolts need to be removed on a TJ?  The three on each side?

This is the video that came with new TJ's.

Go to 19:44 for the Windshield

Wow that's pretty simple since my aftermarket cage doesn't attach the windshield!  Two bolts and fold!
