I love my job this time of year...It's fun being Santa...although it's fawking crazy with the amount of stuff we deliver and the hours worked, it's seeing the look on the customers faces when I give them their boxes...especially the kids. They see an Amazon box and their eyes light right up.
In the end, we're all just chalk lines on the concrete. Drawn, only to be washed away...For the time that I've been given...I am what I am...

I wanted to buy my delivery guy a beer after he unloaded my RK order. Felt so bad I wasn't home to help! He even went to the side of my house grabbed two sheets of play wood put one down on the ground to stack boxes on then put second on top so no one could see them from road.

Now THAT is a great driver/delivery person!

I want to put together a nice little something for our drivers - we have two: one that backs up the long, curvy, hilly driveway and one that WALKS up the packages (he is crazy and must absolutely hate us)

Does anyone have suggestions on what to give them?

We had a secretary at work (back in the day) that just went over the top to help out us idiot engineers.  We collected up a nice sum of money for secretaries day.  People were afraid that she would be offended by cash.  She wasn't, and was glad to actually something she could use instead of some token gift.

As a UPS driver, I've come away with everything from cash ($25-$50), gift certificates, bottles, etc. I think last peak season I came away with almost $800 in "tips". Believe me, we drivers appreciate it when the customer acknowledges us. Especially when we have lug 15 boxes up a 300 foot driveway!!

I just took a splice connector and added a piece of tube to the existing one.
