Jeep JL Dana 35
« on: December 04, 2017, 02:31:35 PM »
So I've been seeing articles here and there about the new Jeep JL since it was unveiled. Something I found interesting, is that they are calling the new base model axle a dana 35, although it sounds like there's some differences between the d35 we know and hate and the new wrangler rear axle.

“New” D35 axle is stronger than previous D35 with thicker tubing and stronger end forgings. It's utilized on the rear of the Sport and Sahara models.

Anyone done any more research on this?

00 XJ, HP30, Front Truss, WJ Knuckles, High Steer, 3 link, Locked C8.25 w/ Chromo's, IRO Leafs, 4.56's, Rebuilt 4.0, JK Rubi Wheels, 35's

Apparently they are using some aluminum on the front outers too!

I'm just hoping the release of the JL means the prices start dropping on aftermarket JK parts. I hate parts for the JK are considerably more expensive than similar parts for the TJ.
