Cord cutting suggestions?
« on: December 06, 2017, 11:29:39 AM »
Question for anyone who cut the cord and got rid of cable.
I cancelled my cable about a year ago and switched over to sling. I have their $25 a month plan so I really can't complain the only real issue I'm having is no patriots games on sling, no ESPN, and no real local channels. I have kodi but it's live sports are usually disapointing to say the least.

Anyone have a reliable legal way to watch these channels? I've tried antennas and amplified antennas but living in the sticks of Connecticut I literally pick up nothing, and I really don't want to spend $5 a month on CBS app or others just to watch football 1x a week.

I cancelled cable 5 years ago and only have Netflix/Hulu/Amazon. Nothing live. Amazing how fast i stopped caring about sports on tv.

I was thinking of adding Hulu too but I don't know. It seems Netflix and Hulu both increase their prices every year or so. Sling surprisingly has a decent amount of streamable content but I can't stand the playback on it doesn't seem to like to hold your place in episodes or seasons. Either way anything's better than charter.

Jail Broke FireStick or PC with Kodi app for everything except local news and sports...  Most current network & cable shows are same day (some buffering depending on your internet connection)  I use my firestick with kodi when I'm in a hotel or on the road now

I actually have kodi on a amazon fire box. I stopped using it cause I have a old version and couldn't get it to update. Lol
