Good video and comparison. There is definitely a difference. I bought my light bar from Bad Apple Fab. I'd say it's mid range in price. At the time Rigid were all the rage, but almost triple in price. Then there were the really cheap Chinese knock offs. Those that have seen my light bar on, know how bright it is. I was unable to do a comparison with other light bars though. My comparison was between the 1993 incandescent headlights and the light bar. LOL

I've got the 20" Chinese light bar for $19.97. It's basically too bright to be useful. Maybe leading trail at night but even on a night run I prefer no lights at all, just parking lamps. If someone turned one of those on behind me I'd drop it in 2WD at the first mud hole and black 'em out.

Definitely cool to see the difference. I have a cheap 20” bar I got off amazon a year or two ago, but recently picked up a one off Whelen bar with a smoked lends from a friend that works there in exchange for some Jeep work. Haven’t tried the Whelen light yet, but I’m sure I would see similar results to your comparison.

Just a few more thoughts as pictures don't always tell the whole story.

The Chinese light bar #1 was purchased from amazon and in person does not even compare. The beam does not travel far and isn't as bright as the others. Chinese light bar #2 presented in the video held its own providing a decent output from left to right but did not have as much depth as the Competition LED. Overall the Competition LED did provide a wider, longer and brighter output.

In regards to the two different Truck lite headlight models the older style 27250c with the human eye did provide a brighter and wider beam while the newer style 27270C provided much more depth to light up a road much further down. Both are a huge improvement over stock.

Yes, in Startford area. Sean Norton. He also designs and makes some very innovation bracket systems for the light bars. https://www.facebook.com/badapple.fabrication/

Actually he works for Sikorsky in Stratford. He lives by Holiday Hill in Prospect. That’s where Bad Apple resides...

I have a 12" knock off on the jeep and a 20" knock off on the truck.
Can't run either of them when on payment.   Too bright for their own good.
(I do run the one on the truck around the backwood road where I live.   Makes it easier to spot the deer.)

Rey we can do a comparison on the next night run.

No. Competition LED is owned by Mark Shea in MA.

Id love to see how the competition LED I have now compares as well. I was skeptical at first but it really provides better color and distance vs the knock offs.

It would be interesting to see that bar compares to my Rigid D2 pods.

Only one way to find out...

Also I altered the video slightly as I decided to do a separate headlight comparison video with shots of the stock headlights.

I'm thinking about trying out their rock lights. $100 for 4 is a good price if they are quality.
