« on: January 23, 2018, 06:34:43 PM »
Has anyone noticed the optional Selec-Trac Full Time 4WD System available for $595 on Sahara model JL's? Here is the description from the Jeep website:

If it's a two speed transfer case why wouldn't it have a 4 low.

My wifes Tahoe has something similar I guess.   2HI   4Auto   4HI   4Low

Just don't see a selection for Neutral.

When it's in 4Auto I think there are clutches in the case that engage when it see's a slip of the rear wheels and it engages the front shaft.

I know it takes a special transfer case fluid.

Think of it as the old np242 t cases with full time 4wd. I had one in my 92 XJ. It was great not having to shift out of 4wd on dry pavement.

Its probably AWD high and low but I'm a fan of putting things into gear manually. Apparently 1st gear in the 8 speed auto is lower than the 6 speed manual but I'd still take the 3 pedals
