Ressurecting this because I recently saw an update on the News. The Owners of Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park  are proposing to purchase Powder Ridge and have it operational by the end of 2013!

They said they plan to dredge the pond to make it deeper, which would allow them to make more snow than before. Of course weather permitting...

If they were smart,  they would open it year round.

Open it in the summer for MTB and possibly put in a Zip Line course.

"Zip lines won?t save this facility," Hayes said - but he does plan to include them at the Powder Ridge

Hey everyone, I'm a new member to the site!! I actually work at powder ridge, since about april of 2013. I can almost guarantee that the owner Sean Hayes will ever let ORVs on his mountain. We have worker meetings every month and he continuously. says that we are a resort, not just another mountain. he is goinng to keep this place classy and extremely high end. over the summer.i would ride my dirtbike to work, and on my lunch break i would go tear up the mtn. once he heard of that, i nearly lost my jon haha. i used to bring my jeep up the mtn and throw a generator in the back and do work on the ski lift towers and work on the unload ramps. a few times i would take my yj down this trail and hit a huge mudhole or do a lil crawlin. again, once Sean Hayes heard of this, i was told that if i ever took any of my vehicles past tge lodge, i could say goodbye to my job. the mtn bike trails are too narrow for jeeps, let alone a small truck. .there aren't too many trails up here. i brought the idea up to sean about doing dirtbike hill climbs, flooding a trail abd doing an up hill mud bog event, a fishing derby in the pond,  paintball deep in the woods, flea markets and tge summer in his parking lots, ect.  but i get shot down everytime. He has a lot of investors who also hace a lot of say in what can, can't happen. the town also has sometging huge shoved up their ass, because sean has had to battle endlessly with the towb to get to where they are now. he ownas i believe like235 acres, and he really needs to expand.

Welcome! That make sense, I tend to agree with him, maybe not in regards to employees LOL. Allowing wheeling would change the whole complexion of the place. I wouldn't want to have a Wedding there, while somebody is swapping an axle in the parking lot. I think the idea of wheeling it, came before it was purchased.

Do you think he would be interested in something like a Jeep appreciation day? This would be akin to the Jeep Owners Appreciation days of the past, but I know free lift ticket wouldn't work.
