2000 TJ Help

My buddy has an 00' TJ 6cyl sport. His engine light came on. So i plugged in the tester and it returned no codes. He said that it stalls on him every once in awhile, and it's nothing he can reproduce, it just happens. He also said that sometimes the light is not on. I cleared the light with the tester and disconnected the battery from the system, to reset the computer. The light came back on a day later and i still can't pull any codes. Ayn suggestions?

What code reader are you using?  I'll offer up mine to try (Auto X-Ray)

The codes will self clear the dash light after a certain amount of time and then turn the light back on after it fails again.


on my 2000, I needed to clean the intake along with the idle plunger on the side of the intake body, though I wasn't stalling, rather idling really high...

I'm not sure what the brand is but it's my buddies fathers. Where are you located? That would be awesome if we could give a different code reader a shot.
