Try 4 wheel parts warehouse, they run pro comps for buy 3 get one free deals alot, shipped for a good price. If you need wheels too they have packages. Bull.

just a suggestion

You went big and expensive on your lift.. Your lift will not get you places without the appropriate tire under it. Not saying you have to buy the most expensive tire but don't cut yourself short since you didn't with the lift (pun intended)

I would suggest MTRs, especially for around here. Taken care of they will last 40 thousand plus. Great for everything but mud, you don't want to be in the mud anyways, might get your lift dirty  . MTR "owns" ROCKS

The dunlups are a ok tire.. they are cheap but from my experiences they dont last long.

good advice. the lift cleaned me out financially for a bit, so i'm looking to spend $500 plus shipping on tires for now. i'm also not going to be doing much crazy wheeling yet because i am an inexperienced driver. i think i meant to say MTR's, as my bro had recommended those to me. so assuming that is the case, what do you guys recommend as a brand? thanks.

well the only brand that makes MTRs is Goodyear. You can find them used/almost brand new for 500 or so. I picked up Five MTR 33s for 550 with less than a thousand miles on them.

Tires do make a big differance in wheeling, ask your brother. he went from water walkers to a aggressive tire.. I think he should have noticed a big differance in just the tire change.

I'm runing LTB's 34x10.50 15's They run about $115-125 depending where you look. That might be your best bang for your buck.

I dont really know too much about the differences but I had BFG's on my last jeep the MT's are really good for the trails I've been on and all right in the mud but they are pricy for what you get, other than that I've used cooper, BFG, and Futura all terrains and the coopers were the most aggressive of them, (but I got a sweet deal on my BFG's so thats what I run now)

just my 2 cents

that is true now that you mention it I tore through a mud terrain sidewall on a small log about two years ago and I had twenty something pounds of air in it.

problem is I got so mad that I went to a party to take my mind off it and now I only remember when someone brings it up :beers: ( I guess it really does kill brain cells  )

Kuhmo Venture MT's. The tread pattern is very similar the the BFG MT, I read an article on em and they are apparently really tough to kill and good for traction too. Really cheap too. I think they were around 100 a tire. Don't really remember, its been a while since I tire shopped.
