so i saw this on naxja and it sounds interesting, and not like something i want to test on my rig, though lots of people on the naxja thread said it worked for them.

before even clicking on teh link i know what you are talking about.. Yes it does work. I have seen studies on it before on the web, although i can't remember where.

Not something i am gonna put in my new engine, although the company car.... hummm

If it starts workin' let us know, thats valuable custom fabrication money that we're wasting on gas instead of overbooking your schedule with

Here's the key phrase/disclaimer

The degree of improved mileage depends on how much unburned fuel you are presently wasting

So if you have a gas hog that you can smell the raw fuel in the exhaust - yeah it could help some.
I can't see that it would help any on a correctly run injected/computerized motor.

Damn :x with gas prices on the rise I was hoping this could make my YJ as efficeint as a toyota echo

that's awesome mark. thanks for being the NE test subject. where'd you get the acetone and how much?

Do like the article says though. Make sure it says "100%" Acetone. Some of the stuff at the paint stores is a mix.

Been considering doing this as well. Might give it a try now, that someone I know of is doing it and seeing a difference.

Thanks Detour!

It's too close to April 1st for me to consider this kinda thing.

Just to put your mind at ease a little. There has been a discussion about this on Ramcharger Central since before the new year.
