I am looking for a small compressor that can run arb lockers without having to pay the inflated cost of an arb branded. Does theirs have some sort of special fittings for the locker, or can these fittings be added to other brands to power them? Any good alternative brands that won't cost almost $300 ?!

First off- the ARB air compressor should be more like $200 and you aren't going to get much cheaper than that in finding a compressor for ARB locking differentials.

Comparable 1/4HP air compressors, like ExtremeAir, aren't that much cheaper- still around $250. I'd stay with the ARB model.

Onboard air is an option, but you're looking at building this:

Hey Rev, I have an ARB compressor sitting around with the two solenoids on it. Don't have any of the wiring, but you could use an mechanical air toggle switch to make it work. Give me a call later.

We'll talk on Sat Mark. I talked to the folks at Foote axle and said that they wouls uptrade my detroit for the arb, but I have to go through the dealer that Steve got the kit from..so I'm waiting to hear from Steve, then I'll call the distributor and get the confirmation
