Hey,
It is almost income tax time, and that means that I will be buying a lift kit soon. What I wanted to know is basically your opinions. I have been looking at three different kits. The Super-Flex and the Flex-Arm are around the same price. I was holding strong with the RE kit but then I was doing my homework and started reading about the Full Traction. Do any of you have opinions on any of them? Thanks

RE 3.5" Standard Lift Kit w/o shocks $572.00
RE 3.5" Super-Flex Kit w/o shocks $849.00
Full Traction 4" Flex Arm Kit w/shocks $959.95

Im running the FullTraction 6"Long Arm ,Great Kit!!Rides Smoth,Flex is Sick.. :biggrin:SO....The 4"Full Traction should Be just as Good.

Well I do like Full Traction, and if you were thinking about the Ultimate, I would say hells yeah.

The basic 4" kit uses control arms with Poly bushing at both ends.  Which can be tough on your factory brackets if you wheel it hard.  (being Poly is stiff, and non moving and therefore when you flex those, they wont have much to give)  The Full Traction track bar mounts are much better than RE's.

The RE control arms are much better, being it uses rubber bushing at one end, and an a super flex joint (ha) at the other side.
However, this kit does not have shocks, and does not come with a track bar.  So really, it all depends on your budget.

Both of these kits are non adjustable, but will be a real good kit.

I would go with the FT, only because for the price, it gives you shocks, and track bars...  and then when you have the money, add better control arms.  (adjustable with JJ)

If you are looking at at the FT 4" at a grand, you might as well look at the 4.5 RE Superflex kit, almost complete, without shocks.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna wait to see what the final tally is going to be with the Income Taxes, and if it is more than I expected than I will go with that Ultimate FT 4" lift :grinyes:. Thank you all for you input!!!

Hey you guys beat me to this thread....So...  I am also lookin at the FT 4" ultimate.  The only concerns I have is how difficult is the "exhaust modification" and any need for a new drive shaft? Thanks.....Rick

Steve is correct about the drive shafts for both Rubi and non rubi. It really depends on the vehicle and the type of lift you put in it (IE some lifts are more than described while others are less.)

The one problem with the FT Ultimate is it is not adjustable, that is its only downfall i see with it, this will not allow you to dial in a pinion angle correctly... although you do have some adjustment in one direct due to the lower adjustables.

I'm running a 4 inch Teraflex lift.  Bought it from Samsoffroad.com for 1200 bucks.  Here is the link http://www.sams4x4store.com/index.html

The price is down to $1000 with Rancho rs5000 Shocks.  This is a Complete kit.  Installed it myself and for a short arm it really works well.
Don't know what kinda of wheeling your planing on but I am really happy with this lift. :grinyes:

As for the the drive shaft issue, I am still running my stock Rubicon shaft.  Just made sure that the yokes were paralell and used the included transfer case drop kit.  NO VIBES!  Got about 5000 miles on it since the lift and all the U-joints still look good.

At the Jeep Rally I scored 1000 forward and 980 backwards on Detours RTI Ramp.

Yup, you are right.... i was thinking it would be similiar to the FT6 Larm, and a quick glance at that tri link you can't really make out the jam nut.
