I want to put a radio and some good speakers in my jeep over the winter, right now it has nothing. Any body have suggestions for a good setup. Keep in mind I have no top or doors at all.
make your self custom enclosures and use waterproof speakers and headunit that you can find at marine stores. You will probably spend a little more this way but you are going to have speakers and a head unit that will not get ruined by rain. Enclosures can be made out of particle board and carpeted to look good. Do your research on what size enclosures are need for the speakers as it varies and makes a big differance.
I know someone who has a stereo shop if that may interest you?
I believe what he is talking about is the "Thor Sounds wedges" I had a set in my older tj, and they were great. I modified mine with tweeters 6 inch speakers and a crossover all infinity. they got wet occasionally and were fine.
I'm no stereo freak, but have always had good luck with Pioneer electronics, and Infinity speakers.
I've had enough of them stolen out of my work van.
A tuffy console with a stereo mount would be a good idea if you're running without a top or doors.
buy the speakers and amp im selling and put them in either roll cage wedges or i like the enclosure taht fits over the tranny tunnel in front of teh shifter.
