Balancing Beads?

Not a new topic, but checking in on experiences.  My used to me 35s could probably use a rebalance.  I've lost at least 1 wheel weight recently and  am getting some vibration that feels like might be tire balance related.  I also figure at half way worn they probably aren't balanced the way they were when new anyway.  Was thinking this might be a good time to just try the beads that go in through the valve stem.  Any opinions or specific products you liked or didn't like?  I was always planning to bead balance the next set of tires I get in the next year, so thought this might be a good chance to experiment.  Only reason for leaning toward the valve stem beads is to avoid the effort of taking the tires off and breaking the bead, though I could do that easily enough later this summer when working on the axles.

I tried with my old MTRs but I had no luck. They were also wicked old though. I think I had two packs of 8oz if wanna give them a shot

I've had great success with my Qs and balance beads. I've balanced every radial I've had on the short bus with Terry's bubble balancer and it's spot on!

Just a side note, beads like Dynabeads small enough to go through the stem require a special filtered valve core. Otherwise they'll jam the valve open if you air down. And getting enough weight through that small hole is a sucky time consuming task.

Thanks guys.  Food for thought.  If I do it I’ll probably just try the airsoft pellets.

Currently running these in my 35s on the jeep.    No issues at all.
And I put them in through the value.

I use the same ones in my LJ and JK, works well.  Put it in my trailer tires too. if you go on their web site they tell you how many ounces to use for a particular tire size

I have the air power loader tool they sell you can use if you want, makes loading the pellets much easier.

.

Follow up question.  If I did either version, think it I should just leave the existing wheel weights on it figuring they are probably doing something already or strip them off?

Why y’all doing through stem? I put them in before setting the bead.

Tire shop had just mounted them,  but had a hard time balancing them.
So I didn't want to break the seal when I put the beads in.

That’s pretty much where I’m at.  I don’t really feel like breaking the bead on tires that have never leaked.  So I figured through the stem is less invasive.  I’ll eat my words from earlier since I ordered the ones Rob used.  I’m going to do 1 tire at a time and see if I can figure out which it was, starting with the one that looks like it lost a weight.

Take the tire off the jeep and prop it up so the value is vertical.
It will make filling it much easier.
