I have an almost new Bazooka sub that I am going to hook up to the new Alpine stereo that I got for Xmas.  I talked to Crutchfield and I have to run the power cable directly to the battery, ....where do i go through the firewall?  Is there a spot, or do I need to drill? Sorry for the remedial question...wiring's not my bag!

Try to find an existing hole in the firewall (like where the factory harness comes through) and poke a hole in that rubber grommet.  Or just drill a 1/2 inch hole in a safe accessible place and make sure you use a rubber grommet to keep the wire from getting cut.

On Kens Rubi, I think there was a large rubber grommit on the drivers side.  Right near the brake booster.

I'm pretty sure there is one there...I guess i could use that...seems like a roundabout way to get to the battery..but it's better than drilling another hole

I pushed my wiring through where the AC lines go into the cab, where the foam surrounds it.

If you push enough through on the firewall side eventually you'll see a bunch of wire coming out behind your glove box door.

The best part is no holes needing to be drilled. and it's too easy.
