ive been told by a couple people that an easy and cheap way to do a body lift is to just use hockey pucks as the spacers and put one in each corner of the jeep or 2 or 3 however many inches you want. let me know your take on this as im interested in doing this

I have a 1" hockey puck for a body lift. I trimed them down so they are the same size of the body mount circle wise.  I wouldn't go anymore than a 1" lift.

is it hard to do it to an xj with hockey pucks? is that extra inch even worth it?

Dick's sporting goods has the best deals on hockey pucks. :grinyes:

Jeeze Bob!  Don't listen to them! :disagree:

You CAN'T LIFT YOUR XJ WITH PUCKS! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

You have a unibody jeep, not full frame like your brothers YJ.  I really don't think you need any more lift.  Work with what you have.  It's a great base!

Are you comming to the Drive in on Saturday?

Bob - you fell right into the most lauded "body lift on a XJ" newbie post  :mad02:

Stick with your current lift - you can learn on that!

That sounds like a challange for detour.

you can lift the front coils an inch or so, but when you drill the hole to fit over the front srping perch there isnt much left of the hockey puck

yea, hockey pucks work, but i used soccer balls on my dad's kia, and those worked sick. he's running 38's on it.
