Bosch Platinum 2 Spark Plugs

I changed the plugs in the XJ a few days ago. I usually go with Bosch Platinum, which were in there, but I decided to try Bosch Platinum 2's. The weird thing is that they have 2 electrodes and don't need to be gapped ever. I don't understand why. I don't know if it's just a matter of new plugs OR if the Platinum 2's make a difference, but 4.0 runs much smoother now and seems to have more power.

Anyboday else using them or can explain how 2 electrodes don't need to be gapped?

I put them in the CJ with the high voltage upgrade. I like them.

Haven't used 'em, but always interested in something new. Let us know how they work out long term.

I run autolite platinums.

Haven't found a plug yet that gives one a huge advantage over another. When I switched to platinums, my engine ran smooth for like 2 days, then was back to a small stumble at idle. I will say that at wide open throttle there was a noticable change, but my ZJ's a daily driver. I don't know how many members of NEjeep use their rigs for dual duty (or at wide open throttle on a trail!! :disagree:??)

I've had them in my jeeps since they came out...... the "4" series seem to burn pretty quick so I switched back to the "2" series..  really like them!!.../marty

it doesnt matter how many electrodes you have....there is only one spark. when it comes to plugs, its the core material/design, and the heat sinking abilities that makes it better. bosch plugs are great though.
