Has anybody made their own spacers for the rear brake light?
They look like they are just plastic tubes over a bolt
Looks like something I could make from Home Cheapo stuff for a few bucks

They don't really seem like they are worth 28 bucks

I agree about cheesey
If I still worked at Marlin and had access to a Bridgeport, Lathe, and Grinder I'm make lots of stuff instead of buying it

I bought a kit that's actually a metal riser plate. Maybe come over and check it out. Honestly that kit looks a bit cheesy.

Does it look like this

This looks like something that can be made too

I'll have to take a look at it
These things just seem like a whole lot of money for cheap stuff that can be made

Is that for your 3 light? Gosh dang new fangled waste of money. CJs don't need no stink'in 3rd light.

Another reason to not have a Later model YJ or TJs.

CJ's are the way to go

You don't really need it anyway. My YJ didn't come with one so DMV cops cant tell you that it has to be there if they have no way of knowing whether or not it ever was.

Besides I think they look stupid

Sadly enough I agree DaBrode but I wanted fuel injection and reliability.
they do kind of grow on you though. As far as the street leagle thing I think the way the law was written you can get away with not having the third brake light. I could always check (My father is a state trooper)

Now that I am saying it, I'll probably get into trouble, but I ripped my 3rd off almost 2 years ago and have not had any problems

turns out if you had one as standard factory equipment then you are supposed to keep it. but odds are that no one will know whether or not you did unless you are going for inspection.
