Buying ball joints

I'm looking to replace the ball joints on the LJ and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for what brands don't suck. I've always been a big moog guy but I don't know that they're still any good

Those ball joint deletes are worth more than the whole axle

I've run Synergy heavy duty ball joints in my TJ for about 8 years and they seem to be holding up fine.  I'm only running 35s on a short arm suspension, so they aren't that stressed.  I have a set of Moogs as a back ups, but never needed them.  O think the Synergy are around $125 / set these days.

The last Moogs I put in have been pretty good. It's been a few years at least.Probably more because I can't remember when exactly.

I believe mine are synergy, and I’ve had them on since 2012 when I added the Vanco big brake kit and had to swap knuckles. No movement as far as I’ve seen or can tell.

If you want I can swing by and you can check out my WJ knuckle conversion. Better steering component angles, bigger brakes, and most parts are available at brick and mortar auto part stores. One of my favorite upgrades

I put Spicer ball joints in my XJ when I did the WJ knuckle swap back in 2018 and they have been great since then. 20k miles on 35’s and however many wheeling trips later they are still in there. No issues as of yet and the whole set was $100 on rock auto.
