My 89 Camry with 215k will just shut down will driving along. It first appeared only after it had rained but not anymore. I've changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. All which looked bad but did not stop the problem. My next step is to change the fuel filter but now I reaching. Any ideas....besides junking it. :?

before you jnk it or spend any more money, have someone scan the computer for any error codes.

does it still crank? have a tech check to verify the fuel pressure. maybe after 215k the fuel pump died. if the car is still sound, i wouldnt junk it for that.

Sounds like a distibutor or igniter going on it's way out.

Hence it has to be hot for it to quit, those parts produce heat you know.

Hmmm, a guy that works for my has a Camry around that year and had the same problem. I forgot what it was but he ended up putting a set or re-set switch in the dash.
