car work rant

Well, Today I got another carburetor for my buick, but when I went to swap them, my fuel pump is shot. I looked at my electric fuel pump and oil was coming out the electrical terminals. I'm guessing the seals on the electric motor are shot.

Nothing like trying to fix one thing and finding other things in more need. :zbanghead:

I need to work on my jeep more. The buick's going to drive me insane. After four years of work, it's finally starting to run good but parts are already wearing out.

There's only one toyota which would be as fast (supra) and the scrap would never pay for that. Though parting it out and getting something EFI has crossed my mind more than once.

Been thinking about it. My roommate builds mitsubishi's and knows a lot about EFI, Going to pick his brain on the subject this winter.

seen them before, Trying not to spend that much, otherwise jeep won't get upgraded.

We were talking jeep parts one time and i heard Bernie say "seen them before, Trying not to spend that much, otherwise BUICK won't get upgraded." :rotflmao:

I say DUMP the buick and put the $$ into those axles you can't decide on! :mad02:

Been trying to combine the two but fitting the 455 into the cherokee seems nearly impossible.

Cut the cherokee in half lengthwise and widen it, then stretch it out. Put it up on the buick frame, lift it, and wheel the sucker!!!

I thought about it but a cherokee is pretty long and difficult to manover in the woods, longer and wider is not better.

Now a 455 powered cj7 sounds interesting but a little dangerous.

I have a friend with a fiberglass cj5. He put a built 350 in it and nearly killed himself. It was only in for a few weeks before he pulled it.

Something about being able to break the tires loose at 60 in a very light, very short truck seems unwise.
