cj front shock tower extension

anyone ever do the ford shock tower conversion for longer front shocks in a cj-7??
I am thinking about it any pro or cons???

Talk to banditt...he may be able to make you some simple shock hoops to do the job.

wayne, did you ever meet Matt Lentz? Orange CJ from RI. He may have moved before you had a chance to meet him. But he did the change over

It was very easy and straight foward, and allowed for the shocks to work properly

Just drill a couple of holes and mount it a little foward of the stock location and you are good to go

I haven't done it myself yet but drilling the frame makes me nervous. :shock:

Well I got the new ford shock towers bolted in.... real easy and now I have a full length shocksfor the revolvers and full flex ca pability...
