CJ7 Frame Up...

And so it began...the building of the new Jeep.

This should be the first of many posts (that I will hopefully make into a webpage or two) on my frame up build.

We started in vain with the frame up today...wire brushed / ground the frame to remove the rust and undercoat....

Put on the rust inhibiting primer...

Put some reinforcing gussets on the rear end (I had that rot off before)

Started to get the MORE SRS put together (outboarding them too)...

Put the 14 bolt in place...

And ended the day with a semi-rolling chassis...

Tomorrow we finish up the main eye of the SRS and shore everything up...shackle mounts will be made this week and welded in soon...more to come.

Looks real good. I am just one step behind you. I am still in disassembly mode, and this is the only reason I have not yet to join NE Jeep

What is your wheelbase sitting at right now? WHich way did you decide to install the springs?

I ended up exteding the fornt but leaving the rear stock. I is coming together...odds and ends until the engine goes in.
