Cracked Shock tab ?

I noticed that one of the welds on a shock tab that connects to the axle tube has cracked. Is there any risks other than diminished ride quality should it fail completely. The sway bars are gone as well. I unfortunately need the Jeep this week to go hunting so I won't be able to deal with this immediately but just want to be sure some common sense is all I need to get me through till I can deal with it.

John - If it fails completely - don't worry about it. My passenger side rear shock mount ripped off the axle 3 times over the years. The last time - I just left it off until I get a chance to weld new tabs on. I think that was back in July

Ride quality hasn't gone down too much (I don't have a track bar either). On the positive side - you get better flex!

BTW - I think Marty's been running on 3 shocks for over a year

If you need help repairing it - let me know

Frank

Just remember to remove the shock (otherwise it will drop down and spark on the highway)

Let me know if you want to weld on new shock tabs...

Same here with 3 shocks. Except My broken one is still on there. It can't spark on the road becuase cjjulie twisted it around the axle.
