I am in the market for a compressor. I have a lot of nail guns for wood working and such. But Sears has this compressor on sale, for like $807. So my thought was I could use this for air tools as well when I am putting my cj/yj together. Does anyone know if this is a decent home garage compressor. I know sears has other companies manufacture them, just checking to make sure no one has heard anything bad about it. Here is the link: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?vertical=TOOL&cat=Compressors+%26+Air+Tools&subcat=Air+Compressors+%26+Inflators&pid=00916780000&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes

17 cfm is enough for a professional garage. It's 220 VAC I assume. Get it and never look back.

Ditto- 4-7 CFM at 90 PSI on my little Porter Cable twin stack compressor runs all my nailers and impact wrench (air die grinders and cut-off wheels tax the capacity). 17 CFM is a really nice set-up

Sounds like a real nice heavy duty unit. I'm assuming 5.5 peak hp since 5.5 continuous would be a hell of a lot of hp and electricity.

I own a CRAFTSMAN 5.0 60 gal 2 stage w/ 175psi...thats a good price...mine runs everything I need it for ..that one youll never run out of air...
go for it!
