All of a sudden the Dash Vents on my TJ won't open when they are switched to.
I'm guessing its some kind of vaccuum problem but from what I'm hearing its a common problem on a TJ so I'm wondering if anyone has the fix for it.

you guessed it.. usually caused by a vaccum leak somewhere.> Somewhere is the key word here. YOu have to look for it. Check in the engine comparment look for loose lines or cracks (i had a line pull of the intake becuase of engine torque) Also check behind the dash for loose or cracked lines.. It is a pain in the ass looking for the cause.

A trick I've used it to pull a vacuum line under the hood and hit it with compressed air (LOW pressure ~20PSI) and listen for the leak.

Started poking around last night,
The vent actuator fed by the yellow line doesn't seem to be getting any vaccum whatsoever, now I just have to figure out where and why

Turns out my problem is the A/C vent lever that snapped off at the spline.
I guess its a pretty common problem, has anyone had to fix this or had it fixed. I've heard that it involves everything from snapping the new piece in to a complete teardown of the dash
