Diff Fill Plug.

So I changed the fluids on the Jeep this weekend. When I got to the front diff, I decided to put the :bling: diff cover that I won at the M&G on. After putting it on and filling it, I go to put the fill plug in and it spin right through and falls into the diff. It never tightened up. So I had to pull it all off again, fun. So I decided to swap the fill plug off the stock cover. On the ground it seemed to tighten up fine, but when it was installed on the diff, it seems that the stock plug was going to spin through if I kept tightening.

My question is has anyone had a similar problem?
