Does anyone have an idea on how much of a job it is to wire a NON fuel injected ford 302 into a cj7? I can do all the mechanical stuff but am not good at wiring. Thanks Scott

Detour...try reading the whole post next time. You know, the part where is says "NON fuel injected".  :mad02:

This is a simple wiring job, especially if you spring for a newer ignition system. DUI is a single wire lead.

he said INJETTED  not injected  i think he was trying to be funny  :mad02:  :rotflmao:

AHHH...see now there's the root of the problem. It just wasn't funny.  :disagree:

Welcome back Mike!!  This is what we miss about you.  Someone to put Detour in his place!! :grinyes: :grinyes: :grinyes:  Now, to be funny, he should have kept it simple and just said, "It's easier than an injected engine."  He sets his joke level too high.  :mad02: :mad02:

I stopped by to see Scotts CJ the other day...if it's rolling by the party, you guys are in for a "big" suprise. I ain't say'in any more.

Not unless it comes on a trailer, need a couple more little things, like that's a surprise!

Should be pretty darn simple compared to what I'm up too right now.

CrzyFrlssJeep  what kind of harnes are tou you using on that motor. Street and preformance has some good kit.  I just put a tpi set up on my Chevy 350.  I'm hopeing to fire her up by wednesday.

It's going into an 86' GT so the harness is already there, it is an 81' engine block though with a bigger cam and some other little go fast goodies.

Thanks mike, ron, as soon as I decide what tranny to use I may need a little advice on the electrics.Thankfully it sounds like no big deal.
