eratic high idle, SES light, 99 tj 4.0

hey guys. it ran fine all day yesterday, but today i went out to start it after work and it idled up to 3k and the SES light came on when the idle finally came down. it now does this everytime i start it. its a 99 tj 4.0 auto with 86k on the odometer. thanks for any tips!

well i took it in to get fixed today. turnes out to be a faulty tps. so if you get these symptoms check the tps sensor.

i'll know tomorrow how much, as they had to order one in(small repair shop) anyways i was flipping through my quadratech book and it was 103.00 for a tps sensor for the 4 cylinder, no listing for the 4.0.
