Exhaust Systems BLOW!

My cat converter has been sounding like a 12 pack of empty cans for about 6 months, so I picked up a hi-flow cat from Random.  I figure, since I'm doing that, I might as well get rid of the infamous exhaust manifold that is falling apart.

I just want y'all to know how much I HATE exhaust work.  What a pain in the butt.  Manifold came off easier than expected, but beyond that ..  :swear_mad:  I decided to stop there so I wouldn't embarrass myself in front of the neighbors - a 30 year old having a temper tantrum would just look ridiculous.

What I thought was REALLY odd was the fact that there was no gasket between the block and the manifold :question:

I replace my exhaust Man on my F-150 last fall.  You are RIGHT, WHAT A PAIN IN THE A$$! :swear_mad:

I picked up a new one and Picked up a gasket set as well.  Pulled the old one off and NO GASKET!  Found that strange, checked the repair manuel and found some years didn't need gaskets, just some grafite lube. :thinking:

I used the gasket anyway! :mrgreen:
