Hey, I'm installing a 3.5 lift on my beater Cherokee and it has an extended rear brake line.  Anyone installed one?  The part where it connects to the axle and t's off looks like its welded on there.  The new line comes with a new block to replace that one and you screw in the hard lines and breather hose to the axle.  Do I have to cut the old one off or does it only look welded and maybe it's threaded on.  I don't know.  If anyone knows what I'm talking about and has some insight I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

I had the same question when I did my ZJ. On the ZJ the bolt that holds the block to the axle unscrews. Remove it and reuse it. If yours is like mine, you'll have to reposition the new unit to get the brake lines to match up.

Some guys tack weld the new unit to the axle, I was able to bend the factory brake lines to re-route them. Came out sweet, just took time.

I bought brand new brake lines and bent those. I had a brake line blow out on me once so I don't mess around when it comes to spending a few extra dollars on lines. The OEM lines from jeep were $11.00 and $12.00. one each side. Well worth the $$$$.

The only snafu is I had to drop the passenger side line across the top front of the Diff. cover, I don't see a problem with it though.

If that's a no-no, someone let me know.

Don't forget to extend the breather line.

Hope this helps.
