1993 Jeep Wrangler for sale.  It has just about every upgrade you can think of.  I started working on this in 2007 and it is finally about 95% completed.  I have over $40k into this in mostly parts alone and have a stack of receipts over 2" thick to prove it.  I am looking to get $16k for it, but all reasonable offers will be considered.  Every effort was put into this to make it almost bulletproof and everything was assembled using high end parts, such as braided SS lines and -AN fittings.  There are probably many other things I forgot to mention than what is below.  Basically, if you can think of it, it has probably been done.  With the young kids and all, something a little more practical with the family is more important than toys right now.  It just passed Mass inspection in November with a set of 33's.  It is located in Lowell, MA.

Drivetrain: 2005 5.3L GM Vortec engine that had 14k miles when I pulled it from the junk yard that has about 18k total miles now, the Jeep itself probably has about 110k miles, but the speedometer is new and only has about 4000 miles on it, Speartech wiring harness and programming (hot tune, remove VATS, lower coolant temp to 205F), 180F thermostat & 3300 cfm electric fan (engine stays happy and cool even at 95F!), Edlebrock exhaust headers, custom built 4L65E tranny with a forged 300M shaft and 2 speed Atlas 2 transfer case (3.8:1) (drivetrain is shorter than stock AX-15/231J combination), driveshafts were sized for a 3/4 ton truck and built by Mitchel Differential in Shrewsbury MA, drivetrain is protected by 1/4 steel skid plates from oil pan to transfer case, entire undercarriage was cleaned, POR-15'd, and then undercoated

Suspension: Front: 2.5" Fox coil overs with 17" of travel (if I remember correctly), custom 3 link with 1/2" wall DOM tubing/hiem joints, Rear: custom built Deaver 9 leaf springs, spring over axle, axle wrap bar, the frame also is substantially reinforced with 1/4" steel plate and L welded through out

Axles: Front: D60 built by Mitchel, with 5.13 ratio, Detroit locker, Warn locking hubs, 35 spline chromolly shafts, 1/4 thick steel diff cover, 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern both front and rear, Rear: Ford 8.8, same ratio, locker, and cover as front, axle tubes are welded to housing, both axles are pushed as far to the front and rear as possible and width was increased to ~63" (front built wider, rear has spacers), 37" IROK's on Mickey Thompson wheels (fake beadlock)

Steering: PSC high flow pump & box, 1/4" wall  DOM tube links/hiem joints, custom fabbed pitman arm so steering link is in double shear

Fuel: 1/4 plate custom built skid pan, 19 gallon aluminum fuel cell, Aeromotive filter system and 90psi pump

Brakes: front disc brakes are from 1994 era Impala SS, with Hawke red HD pads, rear brakes are standard Ford 8.8/9 discs with Hawke HPS pads, Masterpower dual 9" diaphragm and GM master

Interior: Corbeau racing seats & 4 point harnesses, Autometer Cobalt gauges, interior completely covered with 3 to 4 gallons of Herculiner

Exterior: custom built front and rear bumpers out of 1/4" plate, Poison Spyder tuber fenders, rear corners, and ricochet rockers

There are a few area's that need work though:  The drivers side window does not raise and lower, doors don't have working locks

To make up for it, I'll throw in 5 BFG 33's w/ 4 mounted on Cragar wheels, 5th 37th IROK, and all the spare parts I have.

I've got that covered already!  I also have a BMW 3 series, probably about as low, and it is supercharged!

Thanks for the interest and offer, but I need the cash!

Interesting axle setup. Mind if I ask why you went 60 front and 8.8 rear? Other than the fact that you probably swapped the rear in first then the 60, I can't figure it out... Seems slightly unbalanced as the front axle... well its a 35 spline (inner and outer I'm assuming) built 60 and the rear being a 31 spline 8.8. Not criticizing, just wondering. Bump for a nicely outfitted rig.  :bling:

Good questions!  And you hit the nail on the head!  I put the rear in first.  Initially I searched for an 8.8 with a 4.1 LSD.  After finding one and thinking about it, I decided to rip the carrier out and replace it with a Detroit and 5.13 gears.  Of course I had to put disc brakes on too.  By the time it was said and done, I probably had $1500 into that axle.  I could have gotten a new rear D60 from Mitchel for about $2500.  I just didn't have the forsight to see what was going into it before starting.  I figured I would drive it until it broke and then replace it with a matching D60.  After researching a little and talking to Dan, at Mitchel, I learned that the 8.8 holds up to the torque pretty well.  However the axle housing itself is considered weak.  I also found out that the only thing holding the tubes in are 2 shear pins.  I read stories about people snapping the pins off-roading and the housing rotating upwards, so I welded the tubes to the housing to prevent this.  No problems so far...
