Based on Robins suggestion (Thanks Robin!), Steve Nordby of the NEA asked me to photograph the activity on Trail 1 on Saturday for an article he is writing for Low Range, regarding the hadicapped accessing the backwoods through wheeling. I had an amazing day meeting and wheeling with Steve (who is in a wheel chair) and Carol (who has CP) and her room mate Shy. It was a treat to see Steve Nordby wheel a STOCK Suzuki Sidekick through and over every obstacle that all the other vehicles were doing including some pretty well built Wranglers! And the smile on Carol's face everytime she and Shy drove past me on the trail was priceless.

Everyone else on trail 1 Sat and Trail 2 Sun were cool too. I enjoyed watching Heidi in the Forerunner and I think it was Ruth in the Rubicon blast through mud pit.

Here's the link to all the photos in Shutterfly:

Hey John, PM me you email addy and I'll send you the high res pic.

The weather was perfect that day.
It hurt to put the jeep on the trailer and head home.
I wish I could have of stayed for another great day of wheeling.

mark are you sure you dont need anymore straps to hold that rig on
Four large straps to strap the axles down, and four small ones to control the body sway.
Without them, the jeep's body flexes around like a slinky, sending the trailer all over the place.
One of them actually let loose a few miles from home when I hit a big dip in the road.

Asked Mark to cut some cold pizza we brought to the CCFW races with his
Suburban...........he declined stating the sausage looked a bit hazardous &
felt he'd be no longer Treading Lightly......... ......oh well...... next
time we'll stick with cheese pizza......... :rotflmao: .....I should have known better.....

I'll assume the short and skinny pizza cutter tires were on for towing/milage/gas prices - I hope

-I knew he should have had Pete do 4:56's

Pizza cutters.....  Yeah, those are just my towing wheels and tires.
I've been catching shit from everyone about them. :mad02:

4.10's are just about right for towing without an overdrive gear. Next step will be a hi-torque 383 stroker motor so I can tow with my big tires again.

That 383 should go in the XJ.
