Those are the stock Fenders,Sawzal and A Jigsaw . Im going with some 1"-1/2" .125 wall DOM Tube. I Think if ya Tried to conform to all The Stupid State Laws Every Jeep out there would be Illegal.  :biggrin:

true but what i am saying about if i were to register in a different state, would they allow flat fenders?

The Willys had them.It depends on the DMV. They could make ya put a Flare on . But as long as the Maker lights work and theres no shape edges then... U should be Fine.

no law against flat fenders.  just a requirement to have the tread covered.  and need to keep marker lights working.

has anyone ever used the TJ flares so that they could cover the tires for the most part but still had it flat fendered??

I have seen it.. you cut the part of the flare that slopes down... giving you a flat flare.
