Ford F-150 Gas Tank

Anyone here know a good place to get replacement gas tanks?

Its for an 95 F-150 rear tank.

Junk yard special.  I'd replace it with plastic if you go aftermarket.  That is if they make plastic ones.  The new ethanol additive is very hydroscopic (picks up water).  So metal gas tanks are going to rot out faster.

The new diesel they are going to be putting out next year may harm injection pumps too.  Ultra low sulfer diesel is hard on old injection pumps not designed to use it. 

Nothing like using fuel laws to get rid of old cars.

They have already done that with unleaded gasoline.  :neutral:
Looks like the govt has it's sights on the older diesels now.

I work at Crestwood Ford, I'll get my price for one on Tuesday when I return to work. Or try Redbarn Radiator in Berlin, they're usually pretty resonable.

Not sure its the tank yet.  I burn about half a tank and I dont smell gas anymore.  May just be the gasket to the sending unit.  It hapend to my XJ.  Thats why I got it so cheap!

I figure its good to get the worst case senario.

If you can, get a price on the straps too.  I'll probably have to cut the old ones.
