Thinking of swapping out this big ole 26 gal. tank that I keep getting hung up on. Just wondering what people think I should toss under there, stock, after mkt., ect.

If you're after clearence, go with the 15 gal setup. A bit shorter run between fuel stops, but its considerably further away from the rocks.

That is a very nice tank that I put in (24 gallon), you might want to measure how thick it is vs. a stock one. Either style of stock tank is going to need a good skid plate or they will bend. I think Kilby enterprises makes a good aftermarket skid for the 20 gallon tank.....Also, your electric fuel pump is in the tank so you are going to have to mount an external one on the frame rail.

I've got the Kilby skid and a brand new plastic tank waiting to go in. Old plastic tank has a hole melted through it from the tail pipe hitting it.

Not knockin' your tank, I love not having to fill up for 350 mi. but she's a bangin' and a bumpin'. I'm not committed just yet to the swap, just thinking about it. :wink:
