Good alignment shop???

Gonna be putting in new 4.5" front springs this weekend. As well as the Rusty's adjustable trackbar. Looking for a good alignment shop that will be able to correctly adjust the track bar for the appropriate lift levels. Also, how much difference is there using the stock upper control arms and fixed 3" length lower arms from BDS? Will it be ok to have them at a 4.5" lift, or should I really shell out the xtra clams for the adjustable uppers? In the above XJ spec sheet, it gives the length for the arms, is that for uppers and lowers or just uppers? Little help please. Looking for a shop as close to New London as possible. After I put in the 3" lift, the front end was real squirlley on the way to the alignment shop. (they also gave me a lot of sh*t for lifting it) they said if I go any higher, they won't be able to align it. :blabla:

Thanks,
Donny

Not too sure on the lenghts of the arms, but do the aligment your self with a tape measure. Set the track bar adjustment to center the axle with the body. Park the Jeep on a level flat surface. A couple of boards against the tires and measure to the fender flares to give you a reference point.

When that is done, you do the toe-in adjustment.
Use a tape measure on the front and back ends of the tires to get a toe-in reading. You want the rear measurement 1/8" wider than the front to give you the proper 1/8" toe-in. The steering wheel may be crooked after the install. Use the adjuster by the steering box to fix that.

If you can hang under a moving jeep to locate noises, you can do this alignment with no problem.

I agree with xjmark. If you get in the habit of doing your own alignments you will not need to take it to the shop every time the front link hits a rock and if you are like me that would be quite often.

and a flat section of concrete or asphalt. :smt023

If you dont want to do it yourself, I use a place in Deep River, Atwood's Auto. They have a new machine and they will even adjust your control arms. I adjusted my track bar, and then had it aligned. They will give you a print out, letting you know what yours was, what the OEM spec is, and what they set it to...

This here explains in great detail what XJmark has posted.

Good luck, it aint hard at all.
You might never want to pay for an alignment after this.
